TEAM MARGARITA 2009
“I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand. Life is good today! Life is good today!” This is Sam’s theme song and thanks to all of his sponsors, crews and families, it was a very fitting song for the 2009 race season.
Team Margarita finished 2009-race season with the fans wanting more of Sam Berri Racing. Placing 1st overall and in Class One in VORRA, and a tie for 5th place in the 1500 class in BITD, the 2010 season stands poised and ready for something to really watch!
Many thanks to the crews who were there through thick and thin to make sure Sam had what it took to get to the starting line and very key – to the finish line! Each and everyone is needed to have successful racing. Thank-you to Driver Sam, Daddy Don and Mama Ellen, Bob, Lois, Chelsey, Rusty, Lou, Alex, Brian, Mike, Jack, Paul, J.T., Dustin, Lil Don, Lil Paul, Evan, Chad and the Seymours. Thanks to all the significant others that supported the crewmembers as they took time away from family to go racing. Also anyone else who lent a hand to see Sam through to that sometimes illusive finish line.
Special thank you go out to our sponsors-Good Year Tire, D & E V-Dub Repair, Tom Martin Logging, The Powder Man, Sierra Welding, Freeman Welding, ProAm, LRP Printing, KarTek Off-Road, Nevada Print Specialties, R & E Fasteners, DOSE BMW Service, Fire Storm Graphics, Kevin McMullen Racing, Computerhelp4you, JIMCO, King Shocks, Chuck Kelly Machining, Samco, Twisted Metal, Highlands Quick Lube, Sam Berri Towing, and Lodi Heavy Haul. With out each and every one of you, this wouldn’t be possible.
Once again we take our hats off to the promoters, their families, and staff who consistently provide challenging, competitive safe events. To Best in the Desert under the unequaled management of Casey Folks, and Valley Off Road Racing Association, under the careful leadership of Wes and Jenny Harbor, our deepest appreciation for your efforts in keeping the sport of Off-road Racing alive and well. Over 3025 miles of desert racing, and four short course events completed our race season for 2009. A great big bunch of thank-yous to all the towns that opened their streets, hotels, and deserts to all of the racers. Places like Parker, AZ, Jean, Primm, Las Vegas, Mesquite, Beatty, Tonapah, Hawthorne, Yerington, Fallon, and Henderson, NV. Oh! And Prairie City, CA.
Sopwith Motorsports Ltd. was there to cover these events so that the public could enjoy off-road racing working with Pinned TV and Mav TV. Steven and his staff have succeeded in putting Off-Road Racing on stations across the country as well as on computer screens worldwide. We applaud you for your efforts.
Team Margarita will be looking forward to having all of you join us. We thank you for your support and friendship. Life is good today!
